Dr. Kollimuttathuillam (Dr. K) has joined us!
Pacific Shores Medical Group is delighted to announce that Dr. Sudarsan Vishnu Kollimuttathuillam (Dr. K) has joined our Hematology and Oncology practice in September of 2020 and will care for patients at our Irvine and Huntington Beach offices.
Dr. K completed his Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the New York Medical College, St. Joseph University Medical Center at Paterson, New Jersey and joins us with the highest recommendations from his mentors and professors. He was Co-Chief of the Resident Hematology Oncology Program, St. Joseph University, during the 2019-2020 period. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is the author of multiple scientific publications in hematology and oncology and a speaker in associated presentations.
Dr. K completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Seton Hall University Hackensack Meridian School, Trinitas Regional Medical Center, at Elizabeth, New Jersey in 2017 when he also obtained Board Certification in Internal Medicine. He attended medical school at Govt. Medical College in Kottayam-Kerala, India, where he received the "Best Incoming Medical Student" award.
While discussing his medical knowledge, personal qualities, and performance with his hematology and oncology professors, I was told that he is exceptionally good at many levels and that he was not only top of the class for his year but for the many years their program has been active. Furthermore, I was told his scores on their ongoing medical tests were so high that they were "off the charts."
Dr. K will join Dr. Nishan in the clinic, and they will attend to patients together as he becomes familiar with our practice.
We are very fortunate to have Dr. K in our team and we ask you to join us in welcoming him to our practice!
